Beaver County Transit is looking for an Experienced Full Time Facilities Technician. 

This position is responsible for maintaining BCTA's assets in a state of good repair.  This includes facilities located in Rochester, Center Twp and Ambridge 

              Duties to include:
                                            
Maintains a preventative maintenance and repair schedule for all BCTA facility assets utilizing established BCTA software
 
Monitors and inspects buildings and premises for fire, security and safety issues, and monitors plans for compliance with codes and state regulations
 
Inspects and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose, document and resolve equipment malfunctions
 
Plans and lays out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams
 
Operates field and facility maintenance equipment, tools and vehicles
 
Assembles, installs and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
 
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and equipment

Qualifications :  High school diploma or GED required along with advanced certifications and/or specialized diploma; 3 years experience in building maintenance operations and management; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work; must be up to date on all aspects of mechanical, electrical and electronic components, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic equipment; interpersonal and communications skills; physical capability to perform all aspects. Safe and appropriate use of the tools of the trade.
 
      Part of a Collective Bargaining Unit

                              Wages:  $32.36/hr

  • Are at least 23 years of age.
  • Pass a DOT Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Pass a DOT Physical
  • Have a driver's license for at least 3 years.
  • Must have a clean background check and a good driving record.
